Group practice time! Reply

Some of the girls took it upon themselves to practice their routines this evening 🙂 enough said!

In that last one they are praying to the choreography gods so we will remember their steps 🙂

It’s like we got rewarded for our extra practicing because some of us (including me) won’t be in till 10!

Day 7 Insider Scoop Reply

I am sitting here with the girls: Maddy, Hailey, Amanda, Erika, Lexie and Tanya and they are talking all about their favorite dances!

Maddy was the first to speak up and she has two favorites! Her favorite soft shoe dance is called the Incident and hard shoe dance is the a Capella bit we worked on yesterday. Hailey loves a dance called hello again (and so do I!) We both think it’s going to be a really fun and pretty dance.

Amanda loves a dance called It’s a Small World which is a really fun number with everyone in it! Erika loves the figure (and so do I!) because it just looks like a ton of fun. Lexie is a slip jig girl, she said so herself! So her favorite number is the slip jig number called If Only in my Dreams. Tanya loves A Lovely Madness because it has a ton going on and it will definitely be exciting for everyone to watch!

We are loving the choreography this year… And the choreographers too!

We all agree that each choreographer brings their own style and energy to rehearsals. Mister Michael Ryan will focus on a particular part and drill it until we do it right, which we love! And Ms Ciara Sexton is quick and to the point because she knows what she wants.

It is amazing to work with them and be able to spend time learning from some of the best!

Want to know the best part after a long day at rehearsals? Coming home to a lovely room and nice big bed to sleep in! We love UL!

And selfies … Don’t mind my neck pillow… I’m just resting for a few.

Day 7! We’re still kickin! Reply

Hi all,
It’s Day 7.5 here at TTF and we are going to be jumping into a couple new numbers this afternoon.

These girls are prepared for some new choreo from the talented Brendan de Galli!

Despite the exhaustion and soreness, there are still smiles all around.

We have absorbed so much info over the last week but it’s been a great time all together.

And we are ahead of schedule so how about that! All the hard work is paying off.

As a testament to how in sync we are as a company… We all just happened to wear all black today. Now that’s group mentality for ya!

So nice isn’t it ?

Another great day here!

Girl time… with ice! Reply

I came into the kitchen to get some ice and found these lovely ladies had already beat me to it! (And Nathan lol)

Marah, Maggie, Avalon, Amber, Danielle and Kayleigh are sitting here in the kitchen just chilling and chatting about their days and how it’s been going.

Here’s what we’ve done today:

Maggie, Danielle and Avalon spent their whole day with the amazing Mister Michael Ryan learning a figure dance that looks like so much fun! The girls feel really proud of the fact that they learned it all in one day when usually it takes months to learn these dances. They are looking forward to feeling comfortable with it and giving a performance!

Kayleigh and Amber worked on a heavy shoe number with the lovely Ms Ciara Sexton today and they loved it! They think it’s the best dance they have done so far. The energy was amazing in their group and they could feel it coming together. They are looking forward to adding some sass into the show :).

Marah and myself learned an A Capella piece today from the one and only Shane McAvinchey and it was fabulous. Shane is amazing to learn from and his routine really challenged us. And there is something really special about it that I can’t tell you yet 🙂 hehe.

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon with both Paula and Shane learning a really fun and sassy number. It was so nice to spend a bit of time with them. They work so well as a team and it’s very apparent when you get into the room with them.

As a group we all worked really hard today and did everyone proud. We deserve all the ice in the world at this point to rest these gorgeous hard working feet and legs of ours.

Day 7 here we come!

Flash mob 2014!! Reply

So after lunch a few of the girls called me into the studio to play a song for them … Amy Hunt, Ruth Fallon and Kaleigh Barr. 🙂

I put the music on for them and saw them choreographing their own routine which was FAB. I was so entertained ahahaha. It was amazing. So after they finished I managed to convince them to go in and show everyone else, despite their hesitancy. So they were brave and went into the room where the rest of the cast was and I put the music on. They started dancing and everyone got a kick out of it. It was great!

So then this happened …

🙂 enjoy !

Day 6- still sweating! Reply

We are really pushing it here on Day 6. Everyone seems to be turning up the energy and pumping up the speed. We were split this morning into three groups. I can’t tell you exactly what we are up to but I will say this… Everyone left the room feeling so happy and excited about what they had just learned.

Everyone seems to be in a great mood today which is really amazing considering how tired we all are.

That’s what passion is all about though isn’t it? Keeping it going no matter what and striving to be your best!

That’s what we are doing here for Day 6 and I’m sure it will continue for the next four days till our big day!

So who wants to see how everyone is doing?

Here you go!

“Hi mam!”

Ba da ba ba ba- we’re lovin it!
